Shhh!

How can you fail to remember to chop your onion on the onion side of the chopping board? I did fail to remember and that specific element of yesterday's technique exam rendered me nil points - no doubt about it. Exams were in progress all afternoon and we did our best proving the skills we have acquired so far. The school was unusually quiet with students darting in and out between the salad and herb recognition exam and the technique exam.

Igår eftermiddag var vi sysselsatta med provet i ört- och salldskännedom och teknikexamen. Det var lugnt och stilla i skolan och jag lyckades knöla till det från början. Den lättaste saken att komma ihåg - använda rätt sida av skärbrädet - var som bortblåst så där blev det högst sannolikt noll poäng.

In our house we took revision seriously, alternating between the dinner
table and the cooker. - Vi repeterade kvällen före, ömsom runt bordet och
ömsom runt spisen.
